Skye Homes has over thirty years experience in construction project management, design, land use planning, permitting and engineering services as well as a proven track record in building successfully on infill lots and properties near natural areas.   Their work blends the complimentary experience and interests of its principals, Bruce and Michelle McIntosh, providing a unique synergy to their partnership to build special homes and strong relationships.

Prior to founding Skye Homes, Bruce McIntosh managed numerous permitting and construction projects throughout the West and is a licensed professional engineer in three states.  In addition to his engineering background, Bruce has been invited by the University of Wisconsin-Madison to teach short courses in environmental permitting and engineering.  He has a dual master's in wildlife ecology and engineering from the University of Arizona and has a strong commitment to managing construction to minimize environmental impacts.   Skye Homes has been recognized for their Woods Park subdivision which incorporated a system of attractive flow through planter boxes throughout the development to manage and filter runoff and prevent erosion and damage to the adjacent Woods Park.

Prior to joining Bruce, Michelle McIntosh was a clinical nurse administrator for several large clinics and medical groups in the Northwest where part of her responsibilities was the design, budgeting and project management for facility construction and remodeling.  A natural organizer and facilitator with a lifelong interest in design, colors and textures, she works with owners, vendors and subcontractors to select plans, estimate costs, specify finishes and fixtures, and coordinate scheduling and communications keeping our projects on track and within budget.   Skye Homes is a member of the National Association of Home Builders and the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Portland.
